Servo-Driven Motion Technology Yields Selective Printing Capabilities...

The newest Printex “SERVO-Print” X-Y servo driven pad printer was designed for a product serialization application from our customer in the optical industry. The system uses a 150 mm cartesian X-Y servo system, coupled to a dual-piston pneumatic drive providing pad Z axis stroke, it features a programmable controller and touch screen interface panel to provide the operator with full print and program selection functions. The system is further enhanced by: Printex’s Zero-Adjust image plate pin registration system; G3 double sided ceramic ring and sealed ink cup; magnetically coupled pad adapter; programmable auto tape-off system; safe guarding and heavy duty modular frame.

The system allows the user multiple program choices that determine ink pickup sequence from a 12 position artwork matrix on the image plate. It also allows the user to choose from multiple print routine options which feature different print specifications. The pad pick-up and print positions are user adjustable by teaching the X-Y servo in +/- .001” increments.

All of this functionality and technological advances allow the system to complete a 6 position print cycle in less than 10 seconds.
